Irineu Darău (USR): Statul român a plătit 2,6 milioane de lei pentru 75.000 de albume de promovare turistică

Irineu Darău, the Minister of Economy and Tourism, revealed that Romania paid 2.6 million lei for 75,000 tourism promotion albums, but nearly 41,000 never reached the institution's warehouses. The remaining albums are still with the private company that produced them, which has since gone bankrupt. This situation, discovered by the Control Body of the Minister, raises concerns about the management of public funds and materials over the past two decades. The Court of Accounts previously noted issues with unused promotional materials worth over 4 million lei. Darău has reported the case to the National Anti-Corruption Directorate for further investigation and emphasized the need for accountability in public spending.
