Irineu Darău (USR): Statul român a plătit 2,6 milioane de lei pentru 75.000 de albume de promovare turistică

Romania's Ministry of Economy revealed that 2.6 million lei were spent on 75,000 tourism promotion albums, with nearly 41,000 never reaching storage. The printing company continues to sell these albums. The situation, uncovered by the Control Body, dates back to a 2006 contract for promoting the Merry Cemetery. Despite full payment, only 34,395 albums were received. Ongoing issues in managing promotional materials have persisted for years, with significant stock remaining unused. The Court of Accounts previously noted over 4 million lei in stagnant materials. The ministry is now taking steps to address these discrepancies and has reported the matter to the National Anti-Corruption Directorate.
