He emphasized the need for accountability among state company leaders and the importance of fulfilling contractual obligations. The modernization of IAR-99 aircraft has faced significant setbacks, with no deliveries made under a contract valued at approximately 275 million lei. The deadline for completion has been extended to June 2024, but technical and contractual problems persist. The Court of Accounts report identified various irregularities in contract management, prompting calls for improved oversight and responsibility from company boards. Darău criticized the selection processes for public enterprise leadership and highlighted the broader governance issues within state companies.
