Irineu Darău: Damen Mangalia are datorii de 178 de milioane de lei către stat și Primăria Mangalia

Damen Shipyards Mangalia, now in bankruptcy, owes approximately 178 million lei to the Romanian state and Mangalia City Hall. The company has sold its assets to Rheinmetall Real Estate Romania for 138.03 million euros. The Romanian state is the main creditor, with debts of 160 million lei owed to ANAF and 18 million lei to the local authority. The sale aims to revive one of Romania's key naval industrial sites, with Rheinmetall planning to develop it into a center for military and civilian shipbuilding. The future of the site depends on the new owner's ability to secure investments and orders, as well as the legal and economic relations with creditors.
