The interim Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău, announced that the target of 1,000 entities for cybersecurity maturity tools has been exceeded, with 1,324 organizations completing the self-assessment questionnaire. This reflects a growing concern for cybersecurity among Romanian institutions and companies. Over 1,600 organizations registered for auditing, indicating significant interest in cybersecurity. Darău emphasized that cybersecurity is crucial for protecting business activities and ensuring service continuity. He stated that digitalization must be done securely, and the work in cybersecurity continues beyond meeting targets in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
