She was recently dismissed from her position as deputy head of the presidential office amid accusations involving her and a former deputy. The investigation targets several suspects linked to a scheme allegedly laundering millions of dollars. Prosecutors claim the group funneled approximately $3.3 million to cover the bail of a former energy minister under investigation for corruption. Mudra stated she lacks the funds for bail and may seek help from friends. If she pays, she will be restricted from leaving Kyiv and contacting witnesses. This incident adds to the pressure on Zelensky's administration, which has faced previous corruption-related resignations. Despite reform efforts, Ukraine is still viewed as one of the most corrupt countries in Europe.
