IRCC crește la 5,57% de la 1 octombrie
The Romanian consumer credit reference index (IRCC) will increase from 5.56% to 5.57% starting October 1, 2026. This slight rise of 0.01 percentage points is expected to have a minimal impact on monthly payments. For a 300,000 lei mortgage over 30 years, the monthly payment will increase by approximately 2 lei. The IRCC is calculated based on actual interbank transactions and reflects past interest rates. A further increase to around 5.59% is anticipated for January 1, 2027, depending on future calculations by the National Bank of Romania. Meanwhile, the ROBOR index has also seen recent increases, affecting older variable-rate loans.
