IRCC crește de la 1 octombrie după patru scăderi consecutive: ce impact real are asupra ratelor românilor • Știri Brașov Biz Brasov
Starting October 1, 2026, the IRCC index for variable interest loans in Romania will increase slightly from 5.56% to 5.57%. This change results in a minimal increase of about 2 lei in monthly payments for a 350,000 lei mortgage. Despite the rise, the IRCC remains below its peak of 6.06% recorded in Q2 2025. Analysts predict a further slight increase to around 5.59% in early 2027. The IRCC reflects interbank lending rates from April to June 2026, prior to recent inflation declines. Fixed-rate mortgage options are significantly lower, potentially saving borrowers hundreds of lei monthly. Refinancing to a fixed rate is recommended for those with variable loans to reduce costs.
