Iranul vrea redeschiderea Strâmtorii Ormuz: Condiții dure pentru SUA la ONU

Iran is prepared to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within a week if the U.S. reduces military pressure and lifts the blockade on Iranian ports. An Iranian official stated that their delegation at the UN General Assembly has full authority to resume diplomatic talks with U.S. officials. Both U.S. President Trump and Iranian President Pezeshkian will attend the assembly, marking their first joint event since the launch of military operations against Iran. However, no direct meetings are scheduled between the two leaders. The Iranian official emphasized the need for the U.S. to express a desire for diplomatic resolution. The U.S. Secretary of State indicated openness to discussions during the assembly, especially if they could lead to positive outcomes. Gulf countries are eager to restore maritime traffic through the Strait but are wary of empowering Iran.
