Iranul și Omanul semnează luni un acord privind Strâmtoarea Ormuz

Iran and Oman are set to sign an agreement on a joint approach to the Strait of Hormuz, establishing a temporary navigation corridor. This agreement, announced by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, aims to partially reopen a crucial maritime route that has been blocked for nearly seven months due to conflict. The corridor will be approximately 11 kilometers wide, with parts passing through Iranian territorial waters. The situation has worsened since the U.S. and Israel's attacks on Iran, leading to a significant drop in maritime traffic and soaring energy prices. The complete reopening of the strait hinges on U.S. compliance with a prior memorandum, which Iran claims has not been honored.
