Irakul a pierdut 60 de miliarde de dolari de la începutul războiului din Orientul Mijlociu - Economica.net

Iraq has lost around $60 billion since the onset of the Middle East conflict due to a significant drop in oil exports caused by the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. The country, a member of OPEC, previously produced about four million barrels of oil daily, with 3.5 million exported mainly through this strait. The Iranian restrictions on navigation have forced Iraq to halt production at most of its oil fields, leading to limited exports via Syria and Turkey. Despite a slight recovery in exports, Iraq's foreign reserves have decreased by $20 billion, prompting the Central Bank to adjust the official dollar exchange rate for the first time in three years. Iraq aims to diversify its economy and increase non-oil revenue from 10% to 45% by 2037.
