Transgaz is working on feasibility studies for connecting Maramureș and Bucovina, as announced by CEO Ion Sterian during a visit to Maramureș. The company aims to enhance natural gas infrastructure and improve living standards in the region. Sterian emphasized the strategic role of Transgaz in sustainable development and the importance of ongoing investments. Local authorities discussed the need for better funding to expand gas access, as only a fraction of Maramureș is currently connected to the gas network. The planned pipeline will facilitate gas supply and balance the national transport system.
