The Foreign Investors Council (FIC) has proposed a set of measures to the Romanian government aimed at enhancing economic competitiveness. Key recommendations include eliminating turnover taxes, ensuring a minimum six-month period for firms to adapt to major tax changes, and investing approximately 18 billion euros in energy networks by 2030. FIC emphasizes the need for predictable fiscal policies and a special regime for strategic investments over 200 million euros. Additionally, the council advocates for a streamlined regulatory process, longer public consultation periods, and the establishment of a one-stop-shop for investors. Digital transformation of public services is also highlighted as a priority.
