Finnish firm Capalo AI recently entered the market, focusing on energy optimization and trading. Other players include Bulgarian ADEX Energy and Austrian enspired, both offering advanced energy management solutions. Spanish group Umbrella Global Energy is also involved in local battery projects. The market potential is significant, with 65 GW of storage projects planned, yet only 1 GW operational. New funding opportunities are emerging, including a modernization fund and a program for household storage systems. This growth reflects a shift towards a more integrated energy ecosystem in Romania.
