Investiții uriașe la UM Cugir: Proiect strategic de o jumătate de miliard de lei, pentru producția de muniție NATO

Uzina Mecanică Cugir is investing over 552 million lei in a strategic project to produce NATO-compatible ammunition, marking the largest investment in 30 years. The project aims to modernize infrastructure and enhance production capabilities for 5.56×45 mm and 12.7×99 mm ammunition. It is structured in four phases, with significant funding from the Romanian government and the company's own resources. The modernization includes upgrading the industrial hall and expanding production capacity, with completion expected by 2026. This initiative is crucial for strengthening Romania's defense industry and ensuring the production of standardized ammunition.
