Rompetrol Rafinare is continuing its modernization program at the Petromidia refinery, focusing on the rehabilitation of five storage tanks to enhance operational flexibility. This multi-year investment aims to improve operational safety and efficiency while adhering to high performance standards. The projects include increasing storage capacity for raw materials and petroleum products by 20%. Innovative hydraulic jacks are being used to ensure safer and faster construction processes. Since 2007, over 60 tanks have been modernized across the company's refineries. In the first half of 2026, Petromidia processed nearly 2.6 million tons of raw materials, while Vega achieved record production of bitumen.
