Investiție strategică la Uzina Mecanică Cugir: noi utilaje pentru producția de muniție NATO. Contract semnat

Uzina Mecanică Cugir has signed a contract for new machinery to enhance NATO ammunition production capabilities. The project, valued at approximately 409.7 million lei, aims to modernize production lines for 12.7×99 mm ammunition. This investment is part of a broader strategy to align Romania's defense production with NATO standards and improve production efficiency. The new line will include several production components and is expected to produce around 80 cartridges per minute. The project is funded by the state budget and aims to reduce reliance on imports while opening new export opportunities.
