Investiție record în infrastructura NATO: România devine nod strategic pe Flancul Estic

President Nicușor Dan announced Romania's strategic achievement within NATO, following the approval of an extensive fuel pipeline network expansion. This project aims to enhance military logistics and mobility on the Eastern Flank, representing NATO's largest investment of its kind. The initiative, resulting from over five years of negotiations, comes in response to the changing European security landscape post-Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The total investment is projected at 27 billion euros over 20 years, with Romania set to receive approximately 2.15 billion euros for infrastructure development. The new pipeline network will serve both military and civilian needs, potentially benefiting Romanian companies involved in infrastructure projects. Dan emphasized that this decision reflects lessons learned from the Ukraine conflict and strengthens Romania's position within NATO's security architecture.
