The Ministry of Transport has issued construction permits for the modernization of two railway crossings in Brașov, with total investments nearing four million lei. The project focuses on key sections of the Brașov–Războieni railway line and is funded through the Transport Program 2021–2027, utilizing both EU grants and national budget sources. The first permit covers a crossing at kilometer 19+650, with a budget of 2.15 million lei and a 12-month execution period. The second permit, for kilometer 83+950, has an approved budget of 1.58 million lei. The main goal is to reduce accident risks and improve traffic flow, involving complete railway restoration, new elastic slabs for smooth transit, and modern signaling installations. Additionally, the sites will feature integrated telecommunications systems, surveillance cameras, and adequate public lighting for enhanced safety.
