The Galați County Council has initiated a significant road and environmental infrastructure project, modernizing a 16-kilometer route with a budget of 111 million lei, funded by EU sources. The project aims to enhance transportation for approximately 15,000 residents, featuring road widening, bridge rehabilitation, and improved public transport facilities. Safety measures will include illuminated pedestrian crossings and ecological initiatives like afforestation. The construction contract has been awarded to a consortium, with a completion timeline of 18 months.
