Izida Ceramica, Bulgaria's oldest ceramic tile manufacturer, is investing €20 million in its Elin Pelin factory and plans to establish a logistics center near Bucharest. The company aims to become the first large-format ceramic slab producer in Southeast Europe with a new CONTINUA+ production line. This investment will increase its annual production capacity from 6.5 million m² to approximately 11 million m² by 2025. Romania has become a key market for Izida, doubling sales volumes despite a 20% market contraction. The company attributes its growth to DIY sales and residential projects, alongside an expanded distribution network and local commercial team.
