Investigaţie pe piaţa echipamentelor medicale de ultrasonografie, desfăşurată de Consiliul Concurenţei - Economica.net
The Competition Council conducted surprise inspections at Philips Romania and ten distributors regarding potential anti-competitive practices in the medical equipment market. The investigation focuses on possible collusion in procurement processes for ultrasound and patient monitoring devices. Suspicions suggest that since 2020, these companies may have coordinated their commercial policies to manipulate contract awards, limiting competition and price pressure. Inspections are authorized by the Bucharest Court of Appeal and aim to gather necessary information. Companies found violating competition rules may face fines up to 10% of their turnover, but cooperation may lead to immunity or reduced penalties.
