Inundații devastatoare în Nepal. Uniunea Europeană anunță un ajutor umanitar de 2 milioane de euro

The European Union has allocated 2 million euros to assist those affected by devastating floods in Nepal, which resulted in over 500 deaths. The funds will address urgent needs such as food, medical assistance, clean water, hygiene services, and shelter. European Commissioner for Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, highlighted the destruction caused by the floods, isolating communities still recovering from past disasters. This aid complements nearly 3 million euros provided earlier this year for disaster preparedness and response. Additionally, the EU will send a rapid response coordinator to Nepal and activate the Copernicus satellite mapping service to support local authorities.
