Inundații devastatoare în Creta: Zeci de oameni au fost evacuați. Opt muncitori au rămas blocați în Cheile Samariei
Severe storms have hit Crete, causing significant flooding and prompting rescue operations for stranded individuals. The most affected areas include Iraklio, Hania, and Rethymno, where rivers overflowed due to heavy rainfall. Eight workers were trapped in the Samaria Gorge, unable to exit due to worsening conditions. Authorities advised residents in Mylopotamos to evacuate to higher ground and limit travel. The situation is critical in Zoniana, where homes near the riverbanks were evacuated. Firefighters rescued 23 people in the southeast, and extensive damage to roads and infrastructure was reported.
