"Dosarul Vocea Umană" is a new theatrical production that combines opera and documentary theater, exploring themes of intimacy and surveillance in Romania's recent history. The show, directed by Alexandru Pătrașcu, is based on Francis Poulenc's opera "La voix humaine" and focuses on a woman's phone conversation with her estranged partner, highlighting the intrusion of state surveillance. The performance will include a discussion with representatives from the National Council for the Study of Securitate Archives (CNSAS) about the impact of communist surveillance. The premiere is set for September 11, 2026, at Sala Dalles in Bucharest, featuring soprano Cleopatra David in the lead role.
