Interzicerea, în etape, a vehiculelor poluante în București va avea efecte colaterale

The Bucharest City Hall plans to gradually restrict access for polluting vehicles from 2027 to 2032, affecting both vehicle owners and the auto market. Mayor Ciprian Ciucu announced a phased approach starting with non-Euro vehicles, expanding to Euro 5 by 2032. Approximately 1.3 million of the 2.9 million registered vehicles in Bucharest and Ilfov are considered old and polluting. The restrictions aim to combat pollution and improve public health, with a significant impact expected on the second-hand car market as affected vehicles may flood it. Additionally, vehicle owners may relocate their cars to surrounding areas, exacerbating parking and traffic issues there.
