The Via Dobrogeana project, initiated by Laurențiu Isopescu, aims to create a 1,000-kilometer tourist trail through Dobrogea, starting from Galați. Inspired by the Via Transilvanica, the trail will connect Moldova, Dobrogea, and Muntenia, showcasing the region's rich history, culture, and natural beauty. The project is privately funded and aims to promote tourism as a means of community development. The first section of the trail is expected to be ready for tourists by next year, with the entire route completed by 2028, coinciding with the 150th anniversary of Dobrogea's return to Romania. The trail will offer diverse experiences, including hiking, cycling, and water activities, encouraging visitors to engage with local communities and traditions.
