INTERVIU | Cătălin Sprînceană dezvăluie cum va arăta Turul României 2026: start istoric la Chișinău și finală spectaculoasă la Ateneu
The 2026 Tour of Romania will start for the first time from Chișinău, Moldova, and will feature a new finish line at the Romanian Athenaeum. The event aims to enhance regional cycling and attract more participants. The Romanian Cycling Federation is seeking financial support from the Moldovan government to cover accommodation costs for around 450 attendees. The route will include significant climbs, although it will not feature the famous Transfăgărășan. The Federation is also exploring the possibility of hosting a major cycling tour in Romania, similar to the Giro d'Italia, to boost local cycling infrastructure and visibility.
