Intervenție de 6 ore la Spitalul Județean Sibiu: un reputat profesor din Franța i-a salvat vederea unui tânăr de 27 de ani / foto
A complex medical case in Sibiu involved specialists from Romania and France to treat a 27-year-old with a severe vascular brain condition. The patient presented with seizures and intracranial hypertension due to a dural arteriovenous fistula, which posed risks to his vision and neurological functions. Professor Charbel Mounayer from Limoges led the endovascular intervention, supported by local medical teams. The six-hour procedure successfully embolized the abnormal vascular connection, resulting in excellent post-operative recovery. This case highlights international collaboration in medicine and offers a chance for professional development in interventional neuroradiology.
