A 68-year-old patient with severe aortic stenosis and a rare congenital anomaly underwent a successful TAVI procedure at MedLife Polisano Hospital in Sibiu. The patient had a significantly reduced heart function and a complex medical history, including long-term dialysis. The Heart Team, consisting of various specialists, opted for the minimally invasive TAVI procedure due to the high surgical risk associated with traditional valve replacement. The procedure was adapted to the patient's unique anatomy, which involved a mirrored arrangement of internal organs. Following the intervention, the patient showed improvement and was discharged within 48 hours, highlighting the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in treating complex cardiovascular cases.
