A rare cardiac intervention was successfully performed at MedLife Polisano Hospital in Sibiu, where a 68-year-old patient with severe aortic stenosis and dextrocardia underwent a TAVI procedure. The patient's heart was positioned on the right side due to a rare congenital anomaly known as situs inversus totalis. The Heart Team, consisting of specialists from various fields, adapted the procedure to the patient's unique anatomy, ensuring safety and effectiveness. The minimally invasive TAVI approach was chosen over traditional surgery due to the high surgical risk associated with the patient's condition. The procedure went smoothly, and the patient was discharged with improved cardiac parameters after 48 hours.
