Interlopul Gradu Cârpaci, predat în Germania: A ținut un bărbat în sclavie, ca să-i ia un rinichi • Newsweek România
Romanian authorities have extradited Gradu Cârpaci to Germany, where he faces charges of human trafficking related to illegal organ transplantation. He allegedly held a man in slavery, coercing him to donate a kidney under threats. Cârpaci, known as the 'Minister of Finance', was arrested in Caransebeș and transferred to German authorities following a European arrest warrant. The victim was isolated, forced to work, and threatened with harm to his family if he did not comply. After the kidney donation, the victim received nothing and remained enslaved. German police, in collaboration with Romanian prosecutors, previously raided Cârpaci's residence, seizing various documents and evidence.
