Starting August 13, stocks and ETFs listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange are available for trading via Interactive Brokers, enhancing international access. This integration allows global investors to trade Romanian stocks directly without local intermediaries, potentially increasing visibility and liquidity for the BVB. The move is seen as a significant step for Romanian companies seeking international capital, with the BVB aiming to diversify its investor base. The Romanian capital market has mobilized over 5 billion euros in the past year, with a total return of over 80% for its main index, one of the highest in the EU.
