Intențiile Chinei privind „drumul arctic al mătăsii”, un pericol pentru mediu, susțin ONG-urile

A Chinese shipping company plans to launch a regular container transport service through the Arctic, raising environmental concerns from NGOs. The Sea Legend company aims to operate this service for seven weeks, starting from Ningbo to Felixstowe, despite warnings about the potential environmental impact of increased maritime traffic. While some companies have committed to avoiding Arctic routes, analysts believe the Arctic will become a strategic transit route, particularly for China, which has ambitions for a 'polar silk road'. Currently, the volume of containers transported by Sea Legend will be minimal compared to overall shipping traffic.
