Meta introduces a new optional AI feature in WhatsApp called Scam Alert, designed to detect potentially fraudulent messages. The feature uses machine learning to identify suspicious messages and alerts users without notifying the sender. Users can choose to report or block the sender, or continue the conversation if the alert is a false positive. The feature is currently in beta and must be activated in the app settings.
