Înțelegere istorică în Europa, cu efecte pentru 2 milioane de români cu investiții. Apare super-gardianul piețelor financiare. Ce puteri va avea noua ESMA - Economica.net
European finance ministers have reached a historic agreement to enhance the powers of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), creating a super-regulator for financial markets. This new framework aims to reduce cross-border fragmentation and attract investments, impacting over 1.5 million Romanian investors. ESMA will now directly oversee major market players, including significant trading platforms and cryptocurrency entities. A new Executive Board will manage operations, while national authorities will retain macro-regulatory decision-making power. However, the German stock exchange Deutsche Börse was excluded from direct oversight, raising concerns among smaller EU states about regulatory uniformity. This agreement presents both opportunities and challenges for Romania's financial landscape, potentially improving access to capital for local companies.
