His meetings primarily addressed Moldova's EU accession, the Ukraine war, and other EU topics, with little emphasis on Romania. Dumitrescu criticized Mureșan's preparedness for the prime minister role, highlighting a lack of engagement with Romanian issues. A meeting with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation raised concerns about Romania's political situation, including pressures on civil society and the judiciary. Mureșan has only negotiated with PNL, USR, and UDMR for the prime minister position, excluding AUR and expressing openness to discussions with PSD.
