Starting October 1, 2026, Aiud will launch ecological islands for waste collection in residential areas. Residents must obtain a card to access these facilities. The project includes 18 digitalized waste islands, each with five containers for separate waste collection. The initiative is funded by PNRR and aims to enhance waste management in the city.
