Lacul Morii Island has reopened after modernization, featuring activities for all ages, including creative workshops and a concert by the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra. The event, organized by the Sector 6 City Hall, offers various activities such as face painting and water sports. The modernization project, funded by European funds, cost around 58.9 million lei and improved infrastructure with new pontoons and access bridges. The island spans 3.4 hectares, with 2.3 hectares designated as green spaces, including the planting of 400 trees and numerous local plants.
