Institutul Oncologic din Cluj-Napoca va găzdui prima „Panglică Umană împotriva cancerului din România

The Ion Chiricuță Oncology Institute in Cluj-Napoca will host Romania's first Human Ribbon against cancer on October 16, aiming to raise awareness about breast cancer screening. The event, inspired by World Cancer Day, will gather around 300 participants to form a human ribbon symbolizing solidarity with cancer patients. Despite breast cancer being the most common cancer among women in Romania, screening participation remains low, particularly among less educated women. The initiative seeks to encourage community involvement and health education to improve early detection rates. Participants will receive personalized t-shirts and a guide for breast cancer recovery.
