Public entities can apply online for funding renewable energy projects starting September 28, 2026. The applications will be accepted until November 20, 2026. Two funding calls are available: one for solar energy production with integrated storage and another for energy storage development. The application form will be accessible at the launch of the calls, and it includes unique identification codes to prevent automated submissions. AFIR emphasizes the importance of using the official application format to ensure validity. The funding amounts to €500 million for solar energy production and €150 million for energy storage, covering up to 100% of eligible expenses.
