INS: Regiunea Centru, printre zonele cu cele mai mari creșteri ale construcțiilor de locuințe

In the first half of 2026, Romania saw nearly 32,000 housing units completed, marking a significant increase compared to 2025. The second quarter alone recorded a 47% rise in finished homes, with urban areas contributing the most to this growth. Private investments dominated the housing sector, with over 99% of new units funded privately. The Bucharest-Ilfov region led in housing completions, while the South-East region experienced a decline. Overall, the first semester showed a 30% increase in housing compared to the same period last year, with urban areas accounting for nearly 60% of the total.
