Romania's GDP remained unchanged in Q2 2026 compared to the previous quarter, with a 0.4% decline from Q2 2025. The seasonally adjusted GDP was estimated at 521.1 billion lei. In the first half of 2026, GDP decreased by 1.6% year-on-year. Positive contributions came from construction and cultural activities, while trade and industry negatively impacted growth. Household consumption fell by 2.5%, while public administration spending increased. Net exports contributed negatively due to rising imports.
