Inovație vitală pentru litoral. Liceenii români care salvează vieți cu AI, în campania „100 de tineri pentru dezvoltarea României”

A team of high school students from Bucharest has developed AIDRONe, an AI-based drone system designed to enhance beach safety by alerting lifeguards to imminent drowning risks. This innovative solution aims to reduce response times in critical situations, increasing survival chances for victims. The students, part of the Quantum Bits team, have been recognized in the national campaign '100 Young People for Romania's Development' for their impactful engineering work. They also created Stratum, a software for archaeologists to digitize fieldwork, showcasing their commitment to modernizing traditional scientific practices. Their achievements include winning first place at the FIRST LEGO League competition, qualifying for the International Robotics Championship in Houston.
