Inmatriculari auto Romania: scadere de 10.6% la 9 luni
The Romanian auto market continues to decline, with new car registrations dropping by 11.2% in September 2026 compared to the previous year. Despite the launch of the Rabla program, total registrations for the first nine months fell by 10.62%. Electric vehicles are gaining market share, with a 45.4% increase in fully electric cars, while gasoline and diesel vehicles see significant declines. The used car market also reflects a downturn, with a 14.7% drop in September. Dacia remains the market leader, but competition is intensifying, particularly from Chinese manufacturer BYD, which has surpassed several established brands.
