The expansion project of Bucharest's Beltway to four lanes between DN2 and A2 is now managed by a new contractor, MARISTAR COM SRL – HYDROSTROY AD – PATSTROY VDH EAD, who resumed work at 20.76% completion. Secretary of State Irinel Ionel Scrioșteanu announced the appointment of Carlos Reis as the new project manager, who has over 40 years of experience. Ongoing works include excavation, filling, foundation layer placement, and drainage system improvements. The project is funded by non-reimbursable European funds and aims to complete by the end of next year, following previous contract cancellations due to contractor issues.
