Infringement - România şi Polonia, avertizate insistent de UE să respecte normele privind siguranţa operaţiunilor petroliere şi gaziere offshore - Economica.net

The European Commission has issued reasoned opinions to Poland and Romania for not fully complying with EU offshore oil and gas safety regulations. This marks the second stage of infringement proceedings. The 2013/30/EU Directive aims to minimize major accidents in offshore operations and their impacts on human life and the marine environment. The Commission believes both countries are failing to meet certain obligations to prevent and respond to potential offshore accidents. EU offshore safety regulations are crucial as incidents can have cross-border economic and environmental repercussions. Poland and Romania have two months to address the identified deficiencies, or they may face legal action from the Commission.
