Infrastructura de gaze din România, modernizată de Uniunea Europeană prin două proiecte strategice, la Bilciurești și Depomureș

The European Union is funding two strategic gas infrastructure projects in Romania, totaling €50.77 million, aimed at enhancing energy security. The Bilciurești project will modernize the largest underground gas storage facility, increasing daily delivery capacity by 43%. The Depomureș project will expand storage capacity by 33%, improving response to seasonal demand variations. Both projects are part of a broader initiative to strengthen gas supply resilience in Central and Southeast Europe, alongside a similar project in Bulgaria. CINEA emphasizes that this funding will modernize critical infrastructure and enhance system flexibility during high-demand periods.
