Influența Chinei în America Latină este văzută ca fiind mai bună decât cea a Statelor Unite - sondaj - Economica.net

A recent survey indicates that Latin Americans view China's influence more positively than that of the United States for the first time since 1995. The Latinobarometro poll shows a rise in favorable opinions of China from 48% to 65% since 2020, while U.S. favorability dropped from 60% to 57%. Marta Lagos, director of Latinobarometro, notes that China has gained favor by providing cheaper imported goods. Despite this shift, the overall image of the U.S. remains better, with 63% of respondents holding a favorable view compared to 58% for China. The negative perception of former President Trump has impacted U.S. standing in the region, especially after a significant drop in favorability since 2024. The Trump administration's focus on countering China's influence in Latin America is evident, yet many countries still perceive China's influence positively, even in U.S.-aligned nations like Ecuador and Argentina.
