A Romanian influencer and her partner were sentenced in France for stealing a luxury bracelet worth €36,500 from a Louis Vuitton store in Cannes. The theft occurred when the woman concealed the bracelet under her phone and left the store. They were apprehended two days later, with the influencer wearing the stolen item. Police found additional luxury goods in their hotel room, along with €2,830 in cash. Both denied intent to steal, but were sentenced to prison terms and fines, along with a five-year ban from the Alpes-Maritimes region.
